1. External user access management becomes easy The SharePoint Online version fixed the On-prem environment limitations on users’ abilities to share content with external users. Users can share sites, folders, and individual documents with anyone who has a Microsoft Account linked to their corporate e-mail address. Guest links can be assigned to users for specific read or edit permissions. 2. Improvements to OneDrive for Business SharePoint Online also gives your business access to OneDrive, so you can store and share your files in the cloud.OneDrive for Business gives organizations a place to put all their working files, as well as the ability to share and collaborate both internally and externally on any device. When you save your document to your cloud “My documents” folder, you can assign specific access permissions. Also, the new “Sync client” feature lets you sync files from your OneDrive for Business and SharePoint sites. Finally, the new OneDrive app offers a mobile-friendly experience as well. It provides you analytics on the consumption of your documents. 3. Your staff need to work remotely Your team need to be able to work from home, when travelling, on customer sites or in the office and have the same user experience wherever they are. You need to manage and secure access to company data and applications. Simple security management When you have contractors or part time staff that need access to information, security can become a concern. Azure WVD makes it easy for you to provide controlled and secure access to your data and applications. Additionally, your full-time employees can use their home PC (or Mac) to connect to their work virtual desktop. This keeps all your corporate information secure. You have an occasional need for PCs Don’t waste resources on setting up several physical machines if all of your employees don’t need a dedicated PC. Azure WVD makes it possible to deploy virtual PCs when you need them. As your needs change, you can add or remove virtual desktops to meet the needs of your workforce. You need different types of PCs for different teams in the business You can deploy different virtual desktops to different user groups. This way, users are only able to access the apps and information they need to do their work. They won’t see information that they don’t need, and you can give them the computing power that they need for their work. What makes Azure Virtual Desktop different? In the past, virtual desktop solutions have been complex and expensive. They were difficult for companies to set up and manage. A large server infrastructure was necessary to run virtual desktops. As a result, most small and medium businesses didn’t have the resources to manage virtual desktops in-house. Azure WVDmakes this accessible and affordable for all businesses. As Compete366’s Azure experts explain, AVD is different from other virtual desktop solutions because it is: Simple to deploy and configure Now, managing AVD is easier than ever before. In the Azure Portal, you can deploy and manage virtual desktops and apps, assign users and have access to monitoring and diagnostics. All of this is available to you in a single interface. Cost effective Azure Virtual Desktop can save your organization money because you only pay for virtual servers when your virtual desktops are on. In addition, when using AVD, there is less infrastructure required to run a distributed team. Easy to scale You can quickly provide full Windows 10 desktops with all your business applications to your users. You can also increase or decrease the number of virtual desktops you use as your workforce changes. Flexible Like with all Microsoft Cloud Services, there are no contractual commitments with Azure WVD. The service itself is also more flexible than other available options because it allows you to choose to give your employees the entire desktop experience or only offer specific virtual apps. It’s also the only virtual desktop interface that offers Windows 10 Enterprise multi-session. Read more: Azure Windows 10 VM | Azure Data Migration Regards, Bruce

Access Files Anywhere Office 365 allows your organisation to store all the files in the cloud. This means they can be accessed on any device, from any location with an internet connection. For organisations where mobile working is essential, being able to access all the apps and files you need when out of the office is invaluable. Secure Cloud Storage Office 365 is a totally secure environment with robust security measures in place, like two-factor authentication, which ensures unauthorised people can't access your files if they happen to get on your device. Threat detection and anti-malware means security threats are identified and stopped immediately, which is particularly important for organisations that deal with confidential data or information. Using Office 365 means your business is free to operate without any concerns for security. Improved Communication Office 365 gives users tools to keep communication centralised and straightforward across Skype and Outlook. Skype for Business lets you hold conference calls and meetings with staff and external agencies anywhere in the world, so you can always collaborate and communicate regardless of distance or time difference. Teams provides an instant messaging function where comments can be added and files uploaded at the same time, which is useful for cross-department collaboration and when co-authoring documents. You can also 'at' people on Teams so they receive a notification that a comment is aimed directly at them. All these features mean you can be in constant and immediate contact with teams and individuals wherever they are located and at any time. Yammer is another feature of Office 365 which acts as a kind of social network for your organisation. By posting on your company 'news feed' you can instantly message the entire workforce, and staff receive an email notification when there is a new post so messages aren't missed. Anyone can comment on a post, and you can create different 'channels' in Yammer for different purposes, so you don't always have to post to the entire company. Predictable spend Office 365 is paid for on a per user, per month basis, like a subscription. The cost of your licences depends on the level of functionality you choose for your business. Different enterprise levels include different applications and products, which dictates the cost of each licence. Paying per user, per month gives you a predictable outgoing and helps you budget your IT spend for the year ahead. Upgrades are included in the cost of your licences, so there are no unexpected or additional costs. If you buy your licences through Core, you can also change the number of licence you have at any time, if you hire or people leave, for example. That way, you are never over-licensed and there is no waste. Business Continuity With files stored in the cloud and regularly backed up, your organisation continue to operate as normal in the case of a disaster at the office. No matter what happens to your physical devices, your email, files and data are safely stored in the cloud. Exchange also has recovery features which mean individual emails or even entire inboxes can be restored if needed. No matter the situation, it can be business as usual if you're using Office 365. Automatic upgrades All the essential apps such as Word, Excel and Outlook are included and work online without the need to install any software. Upgrades are performed automatically at predetermined intervals, so you don't have to worry about being on the latest version; that will happen automatically. The expense of buying new software is also eradicated as updates are included in the subscription for your Office 365 licences. Centralised Collaboration Office 365 lets you share mailboxes, calendars, contacts and edit documents in real time through collaborative tools. Sharing calendars in Exchange means you can see who in your organisation is available when, so you can schedule meetings that work for everyone, first time round. Shared mailboxes mean multiple people can access the same mailbox, so messages can be filtered to land in the shared mailbox and won't be missed. SharePoint is another integral tool for enabling collaboration. Documents that are saved here can be accessed and worked on by any staff member, and shared as a link in email. Multiple users are also able to edit documents stored in SharePoint in real time, which makes co-authoring easy. You can see who is in the document at any time and even where they're working thanks to little coloured flags which identify each user. Office 365 offers online versions of the most popular tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote. For any business, the range of features provided by Office 365 are unmatched. The monthly subscription model offered for Office 365 makes it easier for companies to buy a plan that is suitable for their size and number of users, and continue to operate as usual. COST OF DEVELOPMENT One of the reasons why Microsoft Access is consistently the database of choice is that it is a less expensive alternative to larger database systems, such as Oracle or SQL Server, which require a tremendous amount of set up and maintenance costs. SOFTWARE INTEGRATION Since Access is a Microsoft Office product, it has been designed to integrate well with other products in the Microsoft Office Suite, Access is such a widely used database system that other software manufacturers are more likely to provide the ability to interface directly to Access than any other desktop database system. ODBC (OPEN DATABASE CONNECTIVITY) COMPLIANT Access has the ability to use data stored in Access/Jet, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and other ODBC compliant data containers including MySQL and PostgreSQL. Software developers and data architects have used Access to easily develop application software. Non-programmers, also known as “power users” can use Access to build simple applications. While some object-oriented techniques are supported, it falls short of being a fully object-oriented development tool. LEGACY DATA Access has the ability to easily import many data formats so that your existing data is not lost. This feature can not only save 100′s of hours of input time, but also eliminate potential human input error. DISTRIBUTION One of the benefits of using Microsoft Access is its Jet Database format, which contains not only the application but also the data in one file. The ability to have the application and data in one file makes it extremely convenient to distribute the entire application to various users who can run the application in disconnected environments. SCALABILITY If your company is growing, one of the benefits of Microsoft Access is that it has upgrade capabilities. If the size of your database is continually growing and your performance starts to suffer, you can easily upgrade to SQL Server along with an Access Data Project (ADP). UNIQUE IDENTIFIER Each piece of information is assigned a unique identifier. This is extremely important since it controls that each piece of information is only entered once and eliminates human and duplication errors.
